What is Breathwork?

Breathwork is a practice of conscious, connected breathing that taps into the body's natural ability to heal and access self-love. It's an active and powerful form of meditation.


While there are various styles of breathwork, the one that I teach is the two-stage pranayama breath, a technique I learned from David Elliott. This simple yet transformative method involves breathing through the mouth with a two-stage inhalation: first into the low belly, then into the high chest, followed by a relaxed exhalation. I continue to train regularly with David to deepen both my practice and my teaching.


The benefits of breathwork are far-reaching. It can ease stress, enhance emotional well-being, boost energy, improve sleep, foster a deeper connection with yourself and others and awaken a greater sense of awe, delight, and the ability to live fully from the heart.

What is Block Therapy™ ?

Block Therapy™ is a restorative, detoxifying form of self-bodywork that can be done on its own or alongside breathwork. It helps release tension and opens up your body, creating space for the breath to flow more freely and for you to move with more ease.


Using a specially designed wooden block (or a tightly rolled-up towel), we adress adhesions in your connective tissue that build up from stress, injury, and aging.


Through conscious breathing, strategic block placement, and longer holds, restrictions in your body begin to melt away, softening the tissue, easing tension, and increasing circulation. With each position, you support better alignment, mobility, and tissue healing.


Block Therapy™ is about unlocking ease, strength, and balance, leaving you feeling refreshed, restored, and ready to move with freedom.

The practice of Block Therapy™ is based on three pillars:

  • Create Space: Decompress and release fascial adhesions throughout the body using the block.
  • Inflate Space: Practice proper diaphragmatic breathing to expand the body’s internal space.
  • Maintain Space: Learn to strengthen the body’s foundation to support proper cellular alignment, improving posture and ease in daily life.

Hello, I'm Diana Benz, a breathwork facilitator, Block Therapy™ instructor and energy healer who is dedicated to guiding you on a heart-centered journey back to your natural balance, joy, and freedom. I deeply believe in the transformative power of listening to and nurturing our bodies, creating space for healing—with the breath as the key to unlocking genuine transformation.


My own path mirrors the challenges many of us face navigating life’s changes. Yoga and Reiki were my initial guides, with yoga serving as my trusted medicine for keeping my body and my emotions healthy. Upon entering my 40s, however, I began encountering puzzling health issues. My beloved yoga practice no longer offered the relief it once did, and I grappled with chronic pain, anxiety, and a sense of disconnection from my body. This led me to explore new avenues for healing and personal growth.


When I discovered breathwork—a time-honored form of active meditation that profoundly expanded my ability to feel and release emotions—I was immediately hooked. Then came Block Therapy™—an innovative fascia decompression practice that emphasizes proper alignment and diaphragmatic breathing, alleviating the chronic pain I once thought I'd have to endure for life. Together, these practices have brought me to a level of joy and well-being I never imagined possible, fueling my passion to share them with others.


Today I am recognized as a lovingly devoted mother, space holder, and guide, nurturing others with warmth, curiosity, and a passion for learning, while infusing my offerings with reverence for the rhythms of the natural world. I create environments that support growth and transformation.


We all face challenges, but beyond these obstacles lies beauty and freedom, discovered through welcoming and honoring what needs to be felt in order to heal. I'm excited to connect with you and support your journey as you blossom into greater balance, joy, and freedom—one breath at a time.
